EDWARDSVILLE, Ill., July 16, 2008 – Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits, specialists in providing business insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance since 1887, is pleased to announce Joan Lebkuecher (CPA, CPCU) as the new company chief financial officer (CFO) and treasurer, effective July 1, 2008. Lebkuecher has been with Hortica for more than 16 years, most recently serving as controller and assistant vice president. She holds a bachelor's degree in accountancy from Eastern Illinois University and is currently completing her master's in business administration at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Illinois CPA Society. Lebkuecher is a native of Edwardsville, Ill. and remains active in the local community. She is an officer of the Goshen Rotary Club and a Rotary Paul Harris Award recipient, a director on the Eden Village Retirement Community board, a director on the Edwardsville YMCA board, and a delegate director for the Illinois Division Board of the American Cancer Society.
